The quality of programming is great as are the site navigation and layout.  
However, this site noticeably lacks some of the features of more ‘grass roots’ sites – particularly the social interaction features.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
