There are adverts on the site pages and also within clips, although none were exceedingly long.

Why is it different to other video sharing sites? We graded on originality and innovation..
National Geographic is famed for its educational TV, video and magazines. This site captures the most amazing footage and allows you to view it at your leisure.
Sometimes the site seems a little outdated, particularly with the lack of on-site chat, which is becoming more and more of a feature on other free TV channels.  
Although not particularly innovative, National Geographic has been creative in their approach and has produced an interesting site that coaxes you to thoroughly explore what’s on offer.

The site holds some pleasant and unexpected surprises too. Their music section has up to date, quite edgy content and give opportunity to watch TV online, and there are also some great kids videos, such as the quirky Guiness Book of World Records clips which record animal related records.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
