VideoDownloadX is a very basic site consisting of software that will site you will enable video downloads and save movies online without needing to locate and play them through YouTube.

How easy to use is the video download tool? Are there clear guidelines? What is the limit of the size, length and type of video file that can be downloaded?.
Disastrous Downloads

The process is simple, you copy and paste the URL you want to download from YouTube into the form on the site and then click download.  You may then need to rename it with a .flv extension, which is flash video format.

However, the process doesn’t stop there; you need to download a free FLV player to watch the video files on your PC. You also have the option to convert these to other formats, such as iphone and ipod, but again need to download a free FLV converter to do this.

Other rival sites allow downloading to different formats directly, so this site is definitely behind the competition.

Why is this site different to other streaming sites? This grades the originality of the site. .

Are just filling a gap in the YouTube service after your video search– however there are many sites doing exactly the same thing and although the service is useful it is simply one of many.  Some other sites work smarter and have more features.

Some will also ask the inevitable question – do you really need to download YouTube videos? Why not just watch them directly on the site?

We were all set to watch a video explaining about videodownloadx on YouTube but it had been removed by YouTube due to ‘terms of use violation’.  I think that answers our question.
