This Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing site works with 150 content partners among which are ‘global television networks, premier production studios and thousands of maverick content creators’.

You need to download Vuze, which is a media player that allows you to find, download and play video files on PC, Mac, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, PS3, Xbox 360, PSP and TiVo. The software is free and presents a well organized screen with instructions of how to use this video downloads tool.
Note that you are encouraged to share files, not just to come along and download.  There is a nasty term for those that receive without uploading something for others – P2Pers’ refer to them as ‘leeches’!

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
The software allows you to search through bit torrent sites and the Vuze network to find games, TV, music and movies online. Once you have found the list of sites which contain your requested video files you simply need to click on the site and download.

Why is this site different to other streaming sites? This grades the originality of the site. .
Vuze has a better interface than many torrent search indexes, like torrentz. It is nicer looking and has clearer instructions.
It does the same job as many others but basically makes the user experience a bit more pampered.  
It doesn’t particularly innovate but it uses new technology smartly and takes care of its customers well.

Both the Vuze software and downloads are all free. Your only ‘fee’ is the request to share some of your own files with others.

Is this site a legal streaming site? Does it offer professional or amateur content? Does it follow any terms and conditions or rules?.

Vuze, more than other sites, work with bonefide networks and production houses, as well as individuals. They make statements on their site encouraging all uploads have the owner’s permission before being shared.  There is also a system for reporting suspect content.
However, at the end of the day, some illegal content is bound to get through. Vuze though, do seem to at least make the effort to address the issue.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
