Atom.com is a website brimming with fun and pun for adults.  Enrolling the most talented and hilarious online filmmakers, they pay them well. It’s been 10 years since they enrolled on the www. Partnering with comedy central was one thing they did. Their videos can be downloaded in ipods, TV sets, mobile phones and computer.

There are some really funny pictures. For example, there is a cartoon of a man in his 30’s with a humped back who has donned an overturned cap. And believe me; he has some really weird features! The videos could not have been clearer. They are simply amazing.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
The navigation of this site is just average. We could not find tabs for most featured videos, best videos, Loads of categories of videos are shown just in a haphazard manner. Some videos cover the entire webpage.

Is this site invaded by commercials? We watched a range of videos and evaluated how many annoying adverts popped up before we could view what we wanted… .
There are some ads but they are not audio and video. There are only banners. Banners are non-intrusive in nature. Though it seems they don’t produce any problem.

Why is it different to other video sharing sites? We graded on originality and innovation..
The videos are innovative as compared to You Tube with some weird cyborg videos. However the sound quality isn’t good at all. So its not possible to make up your mind which video can be watchable. Some videos can be termed outrageously shocking.

How easy to use is the video upload tool? Are there clear guidelines? Are there privacy options? What is the limit of the size and type of video file that can be uploaded?.
Same story! Here also, like every other video sharing site listed in our site, there is a need for registration in order to upload videos. They even have some monetary incentives for the top video uploaders.

They have a community option, a search option and even Contact Us tab. You can search them up. In the Contact Us form, you can try to figure out your computer’s internet browser and the operating system. Because that’s what they ask apart from the usual email address that everybody asks.  You can paste your comment in the appropriate text box.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
