Boxee.tv is a software program that you install on your PC that helps users to view video online- internet movies and TV shows, listen to online radio and music, play your local digital music and movies. Boxee is where you can download high quality interesting videos absolutely free. Registration takes just one minute and download is absolutely free. The site videos can work with Linux 64 bit, Ubuntu Linux, Mac OS X, Apple T and Microsoft Windows.

What is the general quality of video images here? Are some videos unwatchable or are some almost High Definition? We let you know what to expect….

Boxee for video

Boxee is a famous site for video streaming but you will have to spend a lot of time to understand all of its features.

We looked for the image quality of this online streaming website and found that it is somewhere in the middle. You won't say it is awful but also you won't term it brilliant. Over all, we didn't find many images here. Few downloading services, friends section and nothing else. We took a sigh of relief knowing that at least they have chosen a white background so things can be clear or else things would have looked so much more like a mess.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

Talking about navigation, nothing could have been more unbelievably worse than this one. If you would find just one thing that shows up every where, it is the “need to do registration.” So if you are a new trawler, you may find yourself caught up in a web of pages wanting to escape the site as soon as possible! In short, we didn't like the navigation of this site a bit.

Why is this site different to other streaming sites? This grades the originality of the site. .

Over simplicity mars this streaming website totally. Home, friends, feeds and services-every entity seems to be a trash. But one thing worth our eagle's eye was the friends section where you can know who else is following you. It almost works like Facebook. Adding your RSS feeds to boxie will be fun too.

How extensive is this site? How many videos or products can I choose from? We gave points for sites offering a wide range of content..

The range of T.V. Channels is too small. It does disappointed us as it does not contain BBC, Discover, MTV and many more. We were also expecting Warner, Sony, MGM, Paramount and Universal. Its not clear whether they will be supported.

The boxee forum will enchant you a bit. Important announcements about new video releases, issues plus discussion bugs and downloading of different softwares is mentioned. Ever wanted to watch movies through Netflix or Hulu, internet radio on last FM and Pandora? This site offers you software which can run with a corresponding hardware. Thus you can not only enjoy what all are mentioned above but also T.V. Channels like the NBC, FOX, and ABC.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
