Holy Hulu!!
The videos on Hulu are all network produced and of a good quality. The site contains 480p, 720p and also a fair bit of High Definition viewing, which offers the same stunning color and clarity you would expect from an HDTV but all streamed to your PC.

Why is this site different to other streaming sites? This grades the originality of the site. .
Hulu stand out from the crowd as a video on demand channel. Their resistance to low grade TV and video is a reflection of them setting their standards high and sticking to their guns.  
Hulu not only ensures that the quality and quantity of material is top grade but also pays attention to the smaller detail.  They have provided nifty little features to enhance your viewing, such as the “lower the lights” function that improves the screen contrast and the ability to view in a separate pop-out window so that you can use your web browser whilst the clip is still streaming.
In terms of innovation, Hulu’s high standards within the online streaming industry have earned them justified popularity.

Hulu has a wide selection of shows and movies.  Not only is the catalog big but three quarters of the shows are full episodes – a great ratio compared to other sites.  In addition the wide range of genres, covering current series through to old classics, gives hulu widespread appeal.

The quality of material on Hulu is top notch. There are no amateur clips, poor quality footage or dodgy streaming from unknown foreign channels.  Instead there most of the content is from the major networks and offering video on demand for recent and popular shows as well as much loved old favorites.

As Hulu is in partnership with the networks it streams material from, all content is legal. If Hulu has nothing to offer on any search you make, they link you to suitable, legal material on the network’s own site.
Compared to other video streaming channels, which can have a somewhat sloppy approach to copyright, Hulu works with the major players rather than aggravating them – hence their success in attracting collaboration via their site.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
