Justin.tv is a massive online community for the broadcast of live video. It has 40 million visitors a month and over 500,000 channels, all broadcasting live video streaming.
It also offers viewer-produced channels to be broadcast live in addition to chat room commentary.

Justin TV offers an amazing array of videos on demand. Some of these are of great quality but others are well below par.  
Some programs, for example sports events, appear on more than one channel and it is worth checking out where the best quality footage lies.

The navigation tool is excellent. Bearing in mind the enormous range of material on the site and the diverse categories and channels, surfing the site is refreshingly simple and easy.

Why is this site different to other streaming sites? This grades the originality of the site. .
This site is not just streaming material from sports events and TV channels; it also broadcasts viewers’ own channels.
In addition it combines social networking with media sharing, by facilitating host and viewer live chat and viewer-to-viewer chat too, via a side screen message bar.
This site was a forerunner of livecasting but grew to include network generated clips alongside viewers live footage. It not only paved the way for other sites but has retained its place as a market leader.

Justin TV offers a huge range of content ranging from sports, music, news, animals, gaming, educational and ‘life casting’ – which is reality TV by the masses.  
This site is as eclectic as they come.

The quality of viewing content varies – you can watch live sports events, tune in to your favorite news channel or watch one of the many private channels set up by viewers. 
One problem with justintv is that the viewing rooms for popular channels and events (particularly sports) tend to fill up quickly and many keen viewers leave frustrated and unable to find an available slot.
The range of streaming includes a good variety and quality of  programming. Unsurprisingly, the private channels vary from the mundane and silly on one end of the scale to the exciting and innovative on the other.

Is this site a legal streaming site? Does it offer professional or amateur content? Does it follow any terms and conditions or rules?.

Justin TV has been in hot water in the past for streaming channels without permission, infringing copyright laws. They have recently announced new measures to counteract copyright issues and seem to be gradually getting a grip on this issue.

Metacafe distinguishes itself from other video sharing sites such as YouTube, aiming to deliver high quality entertainment in the form of short video clips. It strives for a ‘sophisticated’, audience-driven approach.

The video company has a growing diversity of partners including ‘top movie studios, music labels, professional sports leagues, television networks, video game publishers and best-of-the-web production firms’.

The site appears to have lofty creative aspirations and be innovative in its approach but we are not so sure about its audience - 2 out of their top 3 top video channels are porn!
